  • Dim Sum lunch

The original Seattle area Top Gun is located in Seattle's Chinatown. It is extremely popular with the Asian community for its excellent seafood and reasonable prices. They recently opened a branch in Bellevue, so we thought we'd give their Dim Sum lunch a try. We were pretty disappointed, and the place didn't live up to the Top Gun reputation.

The lunch was pretty standard Dim Sum (served every day). Folks who barely spoke English pushed around carts with assorted small plates of food, and you took what you wanted. They have very authentic items, like chicken feet and jellyfish. Don't be afraid to ask for a menu and/or order items too. By far, our favorite dish there is the Honey BBQ Riblets, which you must ask for.

A note about the location. It is located in Factoria, buried in a strip mall behind the BCC branch. The restaurant has plenty of seats; however, parking is a problem due to the college. Be sure to watch where you park, or you may be ticketed or towed.

Bottom Line: Standard Dim Sum. Try Top Gun in the International District for superior food.
