I doubt you could live in Redmond long and not go to Claim Jumper in Redmond Town Center. Since its grand opening a couple of years ago, it's been legendary for good, BIG food. Their reputation is well deserved.

We tried the Parmesan Zucchini as an appetizer on a freind's recommendation. Wow, it was the find of the night! Big fried zucchinis encrusted in a tasty parmesan breading, with a ranch dipping sauce - it was fabulous! Big, but light enough not to ruin your appetite. That's a good thing, because we sure needed it for our large main courses. The Clubhouse Sandwich was quite good, as was the Chicken Brie Sandwich and Chicken & Biscuits. I'm a big fan of the Rotisserie Chicken dinner as a staple entree. For only $12.95 you get half a chicken, a side, and a bread of your choice, guaranteeing leftovers for the next day. The one low point was the Country Fried Steak, which wasn't too flavorful, and was very unappetizing the next day as leftovers.

They also have pretty good drinks, but they run pricy. A Raspberry Martini was $8.25. I'd stick to their beer selection, which is a better value. And if you aren't stuffed after the main course, try any dessert. And I strongly recommend sharing. We tried the I Declair and the Banana Shortcake, and I'd give the edge to the shortcake. But truthfully we didn't need dessert.. it was just too good to pass up. If you want a good hearty meal, Claim Jumper definitely delivers.

Bottom Line: HUGE portions of good food at reasonable prices.
