Redmond's Brown Bag Cafe is smaller than the Kirkland Location, but at least it's not right on the freeway. The menu is the same, and is filled with big breakfasts and hearty lunches. In the summertime, you can sit outside, and I highly recommend doing so. The inside is nice, but it's much nicer to enjoy the fresh air.

We went for brunch, and sampled a couple of their "Skillets" and a more traditional sausage, eggs, pancakes, and toast breakfast. The skillets were quite good, especially the spinach and mushroom one. However, the traditional breakfast was at least twice the size, and even better. The pancakes were HUGE, about ten inches wide, and excellent. There were plenty of delicious hashbrowns (actually, grilled potato slices), eggs, and sausage too. Plus the toast was made from their fresh homemade bread, and was served with an assortment of Freezer Jam. All in all, an excellent meal!

If there was anything to complain about, it was the wait to get in, and again for our food. But they were pretty busy, and after eating the food I can see why. Plus, it was a beautiful day, and who can complain about good food and good company in such pleasant surroundings. If you have the choice, go on off-peak hours to avoid the wait, but definitely give the Brown Bag Cafe in Redmond a visit.

Bottom Line: Great, big, country breakfast cuisine, and nice outside seating.
