Kirkland's Brown Bag Cafe is right off the freeway in the Totem Lake area of Kirkland, and serves large homestyle breakfast and lunch fare. If you like going out to breakfast, Brown Bag Cafe should definitely be in your rotation. The food is quite good, and the prices reasonable for as much as you get.

My favorite dish had to be the Cinnamon Roll French Toast - they bake their bread products themselves, and all the toast, cinnamon rolls, etc. are outstanding. A close second were the hashbrowns, which weren't shredded like most places but whole slices of grilled potatoes. Some other highlights is the apple sausage links. We also had some Steak and Eggs, a Reuben, and a French Dip, all of which were good, filling, and large! Leftovers are a given when you come here.

The service was pretty good, and the decor was fitting. That is to say, very country. Being close to the freeway and right next to a motel takes away a little ambiance, but we liked everything else. Personally, we like the Redmond location a little better, but this location has much more indoor seating. Take the family out to Sunday Brunch here, and you won't be sorry.
